 TWA Clipped Wings was established in 1941 in Kansas City by a group of former hostesses with the idea of meeting socially from time to time to keep in contact with one another. TWA Clipped Wings International was incorporated on November 19, 1957. In 1961, TWA officially endorsed TWA Clipped Wings. Permanent displays of our prized vintage uniforms can be found in several TWA cities. Visit our Uniform Archives for photos and more information about our uniform collection. Credit for the name of TWA Clipped Wings goes to Leah French Conquest, one of the charter members.
